Mmmm Waffles.....
As the holidays are drawing near many of us are counting the things on our lists. MOPS is a great time to gather with other Mom's and de-stress a bit. This week we will be enjoying some delicious waffles and all the toppings. Mmmmmm We will also be discussing and sharing wonderful tips and ideas of how we survive the holidays with our little ones. November MOPS
Are you cooking up all new creations from your leftovers using Joe's great ideas ... of course, while wearing your new apron?
We had such a fun meeting on November 18th. Joe Gionti shared many ideas with us for using food we have on hand to create new meals. Thanks Joe for helping us be better stewards of what God has given us!
And we all left with cute aprons that were simple pillowcases at the beginning of our meeting. How fun!
Don't miss our next meeting on December 2nd. We'll learn ways our MOPS friends bring tradition into their family's holidays along with ways to reduce holiday stress. Be ready to share your ideas! And we are making waffles for breakfast ... bring your favorite topping!!

Our Group Keeps Growing
Awesome! It is so awesome how many moms are coming together at our MOPS meetings to fellowship! We had five more new moms this past week ... and it was a joy to welcome each one!
Has anyone else become more aware of how their personality makes us the mom that we are? I'm praying that God will show us how to use our strengths to be better moms and give us grace for our weak areas.

FIVE new moms
Today's meeting was great! We had FIVE new moms join us ... and we were so delighted! Eden overflowed with energy sharing with us about stress and exercise ... and hopefully we soaked up some of that energy for exercising! Anyone up for a walk?
It was so much fun hearing about everyone's favorite food family memory ... and of course the snacks were all yummy!

MOPS Sept 30th
Life has really seems to pick up the pace this time of the year and it seemed everytime I would sit down to write our last meeting update something or someone would call me :) So here it is our last meeting summary.
The last meeting was our last meeting of the summer and for our icebreaker we went from table to table sharing our favorite memories from Summer of 2010. We shared about our favorite beach, park, church, family and fair memories and it was so wonderful to hear some of the responses from our groups. It gave us a moment to share with the other mothers our favorite activities that we kept our families busy with during the summer. We then ate some delicious snacks brought by many of our members along with coffee and hot chocolate.
While eating our snacks we watched a very informative and interesting video introducing us to our Topic for this year which is Momology. Most of the information given sparked great conversation during our discussion questions. After we discussed about who we are as mothers we split up again to do a great craft. Our craft leader, Angie, showed us how to make flat stone magnets out of print offs and magazines. It was so neat and we all walked away with inspiration for possible budget friendly christmas gifts. Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves and were so excited to learn what Angie had prepared for us.
As the meeting wrapped up you could feel the excitement in the air and we discussed our "theme" for next meetings snack which is going to be "your favorite childhood snack". If you 'd like to bring along with you your favorite snack feel free :) There was also buzz about the fundraiser that was coming up for our group. It was our MOPS yardsale that went over really well in our community and for our group.
Our next meeting is this Thursday at 9 am at The First United Methodist in Murray Parlor, feel free to join us and see what MOPS is all about. See you there :)

September 16th Meeting
Our next meeting is just around the corner, this Thursday the 16th at 9 am. at the Titusville First United Methodist Church. Can't wait to see our other Mommy's as we celebrate together at our last official meeting of the Summer :) If you'd like to bring a snack to share that would be wonderful. See you all on Thursday!

September 2nd 2010
Whew. We made it through all of the set backs and were able to come together for wonderful fellowship, delicious food, and made a beautiful beaded necklace for our name tags!! It was so great to see all of your smiling faces today and hear about how your summers went and upcoming fall plans. It is amazing to me that the women that come to our meetings come from such differant backgrounds but something so strong and simple unite us, being a Mom. Being a Mom of one child to being a Mom of 6, from being a new Mom or a Mom of adult children, to being full time working Mom or a stay at home Mom. We are all bonded in Motherhood which is something that no differances can shake. There is so much to look forward to this season of MOPS and so many new faces. "Friends don't let Friends Mother Alone" LOVE LOVE LOVE this quote from our MOPS bags this year. This is just so true in so many areas of Motherhood we need to come together and know that the challenges we face as Moms should never be overwhelming because we have each other to lean on. So if you know of any mother who could use a strong group of women to lean on send her our way, we'd LOVE to help her through whatever she may be facing. Our next meeting will be held September 16th 2010 from 9-11 am at the First United Methodist Church here in Titusville, open to anyone interested in seeing what we are all about :)

Titusville Mothers Of Preschoolers
Our First Meeting of this new season will be held Thursday the 2nd of September at 9 am. As a group we are trying to be more "green" by using reusable dishes and cloth napkins. So if you'd like to bring your own mug for drinks that would be a big help. Many of our crafts this year will incorporate ideas of reusing every day materials and utilizing what is just sitting around us. Remember there is a wonderful staff of ladies to keep your preschoolers busy down stairs with snack of their own, a bible lesson and a craft to tie everything together. It is such a blessing to be able to start the year with such excitement for all of the plans to come with so many wonderful people. Can't wait to see y'all there!!!

Our MOPS is a wonderful group of women who meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday from 9-11 at the First United Methodist Church to join in fellowship, mothering advice, delicious food, and a thoughtful craft.
